Kolkata, December 04: Flipkart has announced the launch of 2GUD Local which would help bring unrecognised offline retailers to the foreground. 2GUD Local is an initiative that will allow local stores to expand their sales by leaving a digital footprint to the customers which are not possible in the offline segment. The 2GUD Local will help these stores to bestow their products and services to the online users cutting down the geographical boundaries. This step will benefit the offline retailers given the current scenario triggered by coronavirus.

On the occasion, Chanakya Gupta, the head of 2GUD, Flipkart quoted, “This step was taken to extend the e-commerce benefits bringing shopping centres online. The offline stores and brands will now be able to deliver their services through technology and ‘social commerce hybrid retail’ model. This will help them reach millions of Indian residing at any corner of India.”

He also said that the company is looking forward to partner with more local brands to serve consumers all around the country. Further, 2GUD Local’s retailer KLM Fashion Mall’s founder Prasad Chalavadi believes that the association of the business is going to be successful for both.
