February 09: Haryana’s Morni Hills will soon become another biggest paragliding destinations in India that will be located in the Panchkula district of the state. In order to ensure safety and great experience, a team of professional gliders of the Border Security Force or BSF visited the Morni Hills as they conducted the first-ever two paragliding test flights.

As suggested by the news report, the BSF personnel has begun the test flights from Bhori village at Morni those are located at a height of 4000 ft from the sea level.

The test flights were undertaken to ensure the feasibility of the thrilling activity in the Panchkula district. The BSF personnel who were deployed at the Dehradun’s BSF Adventure School reached Panchkula to perform the test ride.

The Shivalik Development Board was overseeing the entire trial process as they are responsible in-charge for the growth of the entire lower Himalayan region.

Other than the one opening in Morni Hills, currently, the paragliding activities are conducted in Manali, Himachal Pradesh and Rishikesh, Uttarakhand keeping in view their climatic behaviour, suitable infrastructure and topographical conditions.
