February 10: GoAir has recently announced direct flights between Hyderabad and Male, a city in the Maldives which will be effective from February 11. The low-cost Indian airline will operate a direct service on 4 days of a week that is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

The information was bestowed via a release by the airline. With the loosening travel restrictions, GoAir has resumed its operations under which they are connecting Male to Indian states like Mumbai, New Delhi, and Bengaluru with the direct plus daily services, as stated in the release.

As stated in the release, “Flight G8 1533 will depart from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International airport at 1130 hours, and arrive at the Maldives’ Velana International Airport at 1330 hours (LT). On the return leg, flight G8 4033 will depart Male at 1430 hours (LT) and arrive in Hyderabad at 1730 hours”.

Chief Executive Officer of low-cost air carrier GoAir, Kaushik Khona said, “Passengers travelling from Hyderabad will now have convenient additional options to travel to Male, thus making their travel experience enjoyable and comfortable.”

This is a new route for the airline and GoAir will undergo its flights with its next-generation Airbus A320 neo aircraft. The release also stated that this will further strengthen the airline’s international network in the South Asian region.
