German sportswear behemoth recently announced an online challenge to support the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund initiated by WHO.

Known as the #HOMETEAMHERO challenge, the brand will be donating $1 to WHO’s Solidarity Response Fund for every hour of activity tracking. Starting from 29th May 2020 to 7th June 2020 across the globe, Adidas targets to reach 1 million hours for the initiative.

The challenge is launched with collaborations with myriad activity trace

king apps like Garmin, Zwift, Polar, and Suunto. It will also involve extended sessions of workout ed by various Indian sportspersons like Rohita Sharma, sprinter- Hima Das, and boxers Nikhat Zareen and Simranjit Kaur.

Manish Sapra, senior marketing director at Adidas, said: “It is our endeavor to provide tangible ways for consumers to keep active during these testing times.

“Regardless of circumstance, what unites us all is our drive to do good, feel connected to each other as one team, and most importantly, to say thank you to the essential workers who were there for us in times of need.

“This is our chance to be there for those who kept us moving.”

The brand aims to keep its audience healthy and connected and contribute in the fight against the deadly coronavirus with the online challenge.
