February 09: As much as the covid have been able to create stress among human beings, it has also been able to halt the tourism industry of states known for their tourism industry only. However, now that the Covid is decreasing in India day-by-day, the tourism industry is inching back to normal. Among others, Jaipur is also one of the most prominent and top destinations for travellers.

Jaipur is known as the Pink city located in the desert state of India, Rajasthan. It is quite close to Delhi and is suitable for any sort of vacation like weekend getaways, road trips, family tours etc. Jaipur is known for its forts, museums, handicrafts, the astronomical marvel Hawa Mahal, block printing and UNESCO world heritage site among other famous activities. Various activities, events, shopping complexes, had to be temporarily discontinued amid the Covid-19 fears, but all of these are coming back to normal, however, a new normal with the old activities but new initiatives.

The pre-covid events included a light and sound show at Amber Fort, wondrous illuminations at Hawa Mahal, at the astronomical marvel, Jantar Mantar etc. These were cancelled during the lockdown imposed by the government. But nothing stays the same and with the reducing number of covid cases, Rajasthan Tourism industry has decided a few new events and have also begun the old ones too those had been attracting a lot of tourists.

In the list of new initiatives, the government has begun a new activity called Night Sky Tourism. Going by the name, this would surely be something that we have never heard about. Night Sky Tourism will help students, dwellers, researchers and tourists to observe the night sky using the telescopes and other equipment of astronomy. Above all, this would be done free of cost.

Inaugurated recently by Rajasthan government Minister of Art & Culture, in presence of the Chief Secretary, this activity aims at bringing more tourists to Rajasthan. Other than this, light and sound show at Amber Fort, illuminations at Hawa Mahal, are among those activities which would be introduced again.
