May 15: In a first of its quite an innovative activity, the Indian Railway Catering Tourism Corporation has introduced an amazing work from hotel package in Kerala, popularly known as God’s Own Country.
The Indian tourism sector is far beyond hit by the Covid-19 pandemic as the surge in its cases have forced many states to put restrictions and lockdowns to contain the virus spread. Amid the testing times, IRCTC is still determined to boost up citizens’ mood and hope. The railways have introduced a new Work-From-Hotel travel package, especially for Kerala.
The rate for the said package of 5 nights per person starts from Rs. 10126. The amenities include 3-course meals, 2 times tea or coffee, complimentary Wi-Fi, disinfected rooms, and parking space as well.

The decision was taken as the corporation believes efforts to ‘rekindle the confidence’ to travel is necessary now. Other than this, the corporation also thinks that this is the perfect time to introduce such innovative Work-From-Hotel packages for the professionals who are bored in their regular working from home schedule.
The newly introduced Work-From-Hotel packages have been made available for popular destinations in Kerala such as Munnar, Alleppey, Kumakom, Cochin, Kovalam, Thekkady and Wayanad.
According to IRCTC, the minimum duration of the package is of 5 nights and can be extended to a pro rata basis. IRCTC also told that the corporation would explore similar packages for other locations as well.
