May 31: Bahrain has recently announced the suspension of entry of travellers from countries that are on its Red List, which includes India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, according to the reports. The same was reported by Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the state news agency.

The state-run agency also reported additional new travel restrictions placed in the state under which, Bahrain will be banning travellers coming from and to these five countries.

The Nationality, Passports and Residency Affairs has also announced that the entry has been limited to Bahrainis, GCC nationals, and travellers with Bahraini residence visa from May 23.

Other than this, travellers arriving in Bahrain with also be required to undergo a series of 2 PCR tests that will cost around BD36. On the first day, the first test will take place, after that the second test will take place on the fifth day whereas the final test will be taking place on the 10th day of their arrival.

However, in case of new work visas, the travellers coming to the state from India, Pakistan Nepal and Bangladesh will be asked to produce a letter from their respective firms confirming their employment in Bahrain.

Many countries fear the arrival of the Indian Covid-19 variant due to which they have been forced to restrain flight exchange with India. The second wave of coronavirus has proved to be even deadlier than the first one as it has spread fear and distress all across the nation.
