February 10: With time, Kerala has become one of the most prefered destinations and soon with time, the visitors will be able to enjoy a river cruise. But Kerala does not have one, is it what you are thinking? Kerala Tourism is now introducing Malanad-Malabar River Cruise on the 15th of February, 2021.
As suggested by the report, the first river cruise service will be routing by connecting Parassinikkadavu and Pazhayangadi. The new activity will feature 11 types of boat rides. Other than this, the cruise plan will be offering the thematic experience to the tourist on board as by providing tours of the state’s prominent areas including the northern district such as Kasaragod and Kannur.
The seven rivers in Kannur and Kasaragod region would have 48 boat terminals and jetties out of which two terminals’ work has been completed so far. Sharing his take over the latest project, Tourism Minister of Kerala Kadakampally Surendran told a leading news firm that will help local people in justifying the principles of Responsible Tourism.

With this initiative, Kerala tourism will help spread knowledge about the state culture, legends and folk arts of the Malabar region. With this initiative, the local people of the state like cab drivers, restaurant/hotel owners, farmers, handloom and handicraft workers will get employment.
Under the Swadesh Darshan, the Malanad-Malabar project will bestow the best cruise packages to the visitors. As news has it the boat terminals at the Pazhayangadi and Parassinikkadavu in Kannur district have been completed at a cost of Rs. 7.5 crore.
