Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, Gandhinagar, 5 February: After remaining shut for over 11 months, Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple situated in Gandhinagar is opening its doors for the citizens from February 6 onwards. Previously in 2020 amid when the temple was closed due to covid pandemic, the temple was partially opened on December 1 for the devotees for worshipping ut without giving them access to the theatre area.

The Indian Express reported that the large format film mystic India will be shown in the tourist spot along with the other activities such as audio-animatronic show, light and sound shows etc. Also ahead of the Diwali celebrations, the temple was illuminated with diyas. Other than this, Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple located in East Delhi was reopened for visitors on October 1, 2020, after it stayed shut for months like other spiritual places.

The devotees are allowed to enter the temple between evening hours from 5 to 7. While the exhibition hall would remain shut, only the musical fountain was opened as of now.

Like many other places those are slowly getting opened, the temple management has set up covid restrictions in place so that the transfer of infection can further be avoided. Before entering the temple premises, undergoing the thermal screening would be mandatory for the devotees along with wearing face masks at all times.

Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple is one of the most prominent temples in Gujarat that has enshrined figurines of holy Hindu gods. After months of lockdown now finally the devotees will be able to visit the Hindu temple.
