January: Delhi-Mumbai rail connectivity will be improved as Rajdhani Superfast special train will start running on rails from January 19. This special train will run all 7 days of the week, however, as of now, the train will be operational for only 4 days a week.

Union minister Piyush Goyal tweeted and said that the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai to Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Superfast special train will operate every day beginning from January 19. The operated will be undertaken to keep a close eye over all the safety rules in order to provide maximum comfort and safety to people during travel.

Rajdhani superfast special train will be leaving at 4pm daily from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi the following day at 9.55 am. On the contrary, the starting from January 20, another Rajdhani superfast special train will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin, Delhi at 4.55 pm daily and will arrive at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 11.15 am the following day.

The passengers were allowed to book tickets for the special train from Makar Sankranti dated on January 14. Till now, only the passengers having a confirmed seat on berths will be allowed to travel in the Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani.
