On 12th September Tarun Tahiliani for the first-ever time collaborated with Blender’s Pride Fashion Tour and celebrated designers 25 years in the industry. Over the years, the tour has evolved from traditional runway shows to fashion festivals, and today, in these unusual days, the multimedia leg celebrated a tale of My Identity, My Pride in collaboration with Tarun Tahiliani.
The evening highlighted Pride elements of his art and history, being new and possessing as an individual a ‘stream of consciousness.’ By setting a precedent for the world to emulate, the spectacular event revealed the concept of ‘INFINITE’ possibilities in one’s lives. Via an on-ground set-up made alive with a streaming debut, the one-of-a-kind hybrid fashion experience encapsulated all the glamour and glitz into an impactful narrative.
“Twenty-five years, for me, is encouraging — the past and the part of the journey that got me here, and mixing it with techniques that allow me to tell a story that’s exciting and abstract in nature,” said by Tarun Tahiliani. “We have just got started, and there’s so much I have to learn and do!” added by him.
In a larger-than-life custom collection designed by Tarun Tahiliani, 25 muses gave 25 breath-taking looks, both menswear and womenswear, highlighting his 25-year journey. The imagination was welcome to the wheel of life, the inspirations of the artist, the history of the studio and its evolution into the future-a real brand image. The evening was an unforgettable experience presenting a convincing take on ‘Pride’ with new Indian pieces of clothing accessorised with present-day iterations of chotis, bindis and much more to bring ancient opulence to a more casual whim.
The pandemic has created a different life for every industry; it was never imagined to attend a fashion from our home comfort. Tahiliani collection is widely appreciated, and it was something no one was expecting to happen.
