Falguni Shane Peacock dedicates a whole collection of brides, for the first time. This will be a full-fledged bridal range of bespoke lehengas in classic red, dubbed ‘Spectacle Privé’. It brings alive Jaipur’s rich heritage, architectural marvels, and flora-fauna.
This will be seen in a fashion film that will concentrate on virtual reality. “Our film is not purely about displaying couture. We’re trying to get our viewers behind the scenes of a runway display, “Falguni and Shane add,” We’re going to bring things as close to the usual ramp display as possible. For it to feel as authentic as it can, there will be makeup, hair and all the usual backstage shenanigans. “The designers who have styled many celebrity brides in the past use this new medium to share their tale of how haute couture comes to life for them.”
When Falguni was asked about her views on this season digital Indian Couture week, she replied “As we follow the calendar of fashion, the solution is not to skip the shows and seasons at these days. It’s a brilliant initiative to provide runway shows online and not to miss the schedule of runway week until the pandemic lasts. We feel very fortunate to be experiencing and being part of this, as we never felt there would be a period in our life when we would have to digitally reveal our set. The fashion calendar will proceed, despite the pandemic. And we don’t skip it, we just do it in a different means.”
It’s so fascinating to see everyone in the Fashion industry on their toes to get their collection out, seems like the pandemic has not killed the creativity; instead, it was reborn.
