Hriday Manch: Delhi’s Theatre Festival is here to make you laugh your heart out

Theatre lovers in the capital are all geared up for a free-to-attend four-day theatre extravaganza, the seventh edition of the annual Hriday Manch Theatre Festival. Organised by Sparsh Natya Rang the festival starts on 12th December. It will go on till 15th December at Shri Ram Centre, Delhi. The festival will bring a range of plays to the city.

The coming days will witness acts dominated by comedy and satire including– Naadi Priksha, helmed by Ajit Chowdhury– a light hearted comedy about a flirtatious married retired Army officer and his wife.

The event will also see another play Flirt among others. Directed by Gagan Mishra, it will explore human emotions of love and how every individual has a different way of expressing it.

The last play of the festival will be Pati Gaye Ree Kathiawar. Directed by Ajit Chowdhury, the play is set in Maharashtra and reflects the funny truth behind the relationship of a couple.

Elaborating on the idea of organising the festival, Ajit Chowdhury, Festival Director, said, “In this mundane life, people have become so materialistic that they have forgotten to laugh. Our aim is to make our audience laugh as much as possible and create a laugh riot in the auditorium and at the same time they will introspect seeing the comical and satirical characters picked up from lives around us.”
