French luxury goods company Kering appointed Mehdi Benabadji as CEO of Brioni, menswear couture house owned by the brand, effective January 1, 2020.<\/p>\n
Being held a series of operational and executive positions within Kering since 2003, this journey would not be a complete new experience for Benabadji. He also acted as the Director of Strategy and Development of the House for Brioni after its acquisition by Kering in 2011.<\/p>\n
To strengthen the repositioning of Brioni and support its international development Benabadji will take over the position from Fabrizio Malverdi and will report to Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Palus, Group Managing Director of the luxury brand.<\/p>\n
Kering in a statement said that Malverdi decided to step down as the CEO to pursue a career outside the group. \u201cKering would like to thank him warmly for his commitment and his contribution as CEO of Brioni in recent years,\u201d added the firm.<\/p>\n
Earlier in November, Albert Bensoussan, chief executive officer of watches and jewelry at Kering\u2019s also stepped down from his post to pursue personal projects outside the company.<\/p>\n
