On monday night the British Fashion Council awarded Riri in the category just months after Fenty\u2019s clothing line launched.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The British Fashion Awards took place in London\u2019s Royal albert Hall and presented the award for her contributions to sportswear.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The category was created to honor contemporary labels that elevate the concept of casual. Last year the award was given to Off-White\u2019s Virgil Abloh. Rihanna was previously nominated for her Fenty x Puma collaboration in 2017. Iconic singer Janet Jackson presented the award and she told Rihanna,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>&#8220;You\u2019re loved for your style, you\u2019re respected as an artist, entrepreneur, and for the first black woman to start a brand,\u201d<\/em> said Jackson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B5liAaxlYri\/\">https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B5liAaxlYri\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rihanna\u2019s Fenty is challenging the norms of fashion and beauty world. Earlier, the Barbadian superstar\u2019s foundation collection with more than 40 shades received an overwhelming response for more variety of shades when compared to other brands. Speaking to Time magazine Rihanna said,<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cSome are finding their shade of foundation for the first time, getting emotional at the counter. That\u2019s something I will never get over.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The singer launched an autumn\/winter line of her Savage X Fenty lingerie range in 2017 with a fashion show featuring a range of diverse models irrespective of shape, size and gender.
