June 23:\u00a0<\/b>Indian Railways has recently decided to restart the services of 50 special trains whose plans were initially dropped due to the Covid-19 pandemic. These special trains have resumed their operations from June 21 that was yesterday.<\/p>\n
The demand for passengers has seen a sharp surge in the most recent times. As seeing the increase in demand, the Railways took the decision. The Indian Railways has increased the number of trains as per the commercial justification and traveller’s demand.<\/p>\n
Earlier on Friday, passenger services have shot up to 983 mail\/express trains from a count of 800 trains. However, this is 56% of the pre-covid time. Given the high demand, as many as 660 additional mail\/express trains have been approved, previously, between June 1-18.<\/p>\n
