June 2: Phuket is recently decided to reopen for the fully vaccinated travellers, however, the highly-in demand tourist location has excluded India. The decision came as the country is currently recovering from the second wave of coronavirus.

According to the reports, chaired by Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha, the Center for Economic Situation Administration (CESA) gave the approval to a plan submitted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

This plan was to reopen Phuket Province to international visitors who have taken both the doses of coronavirus vaccine and those who have tested negative upon arriving in the province. The decision has been taken in order to prevent the arrival of new mutant covid variants in India causing excessive deaths and fear.
