May 29:<\/strong>\u00a0FICCI Kerala has urged the state government to consider providing free access to domestic tourists who are fully vaccinated in the state. The body also urged support of free tourist movement in the state for the vaccinated citizens after the second deadlier wave of coronavirus continues affecting the whole country.<\/p>\n Kerala state’s one of the prime industries is tourism which has been a hard-hit since last year as Covid-19 shook the world completely. Further, FICCI has also asked for the government’s support to help the unstable and failing industry as the organisation enlightened the government about the heavy losses witnessed by the tourism industry of the state during the first wave lockdown, following the travel restrictions that only worsened the situation further.<\/p>\n In a shocking revelation, UC Riyaz, Chairman Tourism Committee FICCI told that as much as or more than 50 per cent of the 15 lakh jobs in the state’s travel industry are already lost amid the pandemic crisis.<\/p>\n
