May 26:<\/strong> Adding up to its immense beauty, Madhya Pradesh’s famous Satpura Tiger Reserve and the Bhedaghat-Lamheta Ghat in Jabalpur are selected in UNESCO’s tentative list of World Heritage Sites. This proud news was bestowed by the Principal Secratary of Tourism, Sheo Shekhar Shukla.<\/p>\n Madhya Pradesh is among those Indian states that are known for its greenery, wild reserves and beautiful nature. The secratary further informed that the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board had sent a proposal on April 9 to include the Satpura Tiger Reserve and Bhedaghat-Lamheta Ghat in the tentative list of UNESCO. This proposal was sent to the Director-General ASI, Government of In dia 2021.<\/p>\n “The tourism board had assigned WII category-2 centre based in Dehradun for the identification of potential sites in Madhya Pradesh. ” However, these sites were identified after years were spent on analysis and ground work. For making it happen, three major workshops were also organised in several Indian cities.<\/p>\n
