Sharing the news with everyone, the government body had issued a formal statement in this regard.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said, &#8220;In continuation of the office order dated 15 April 2021, all the Centrally protected monuments\/sites under ASI shall continue to remain closed due to the present Covid-19 pandemic situation till May 31, 2021, or until further orders.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/indiacityblog.com\/travel\/maldives-barres-travel-from-india-and-other-south-asian-countries-5749\/\">Maldives barres travel from India and other South Asian countries amid a surge in Covid cases<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As time passes, the country is struggling hard to cope up with the surging Covid-19 cases. The second wave of the deadly virus has led to a number of infections and an increasing number of deaths every day.<\/p>\n<p>After the Archaeological Survey of India shared the statement, Indian Union Cultural Minister, Prahlad Singh Patel shared the same news via Twitter with a piece of additional information that the decision was taken after the approval of the Union Culture Ministry.
