Kashmir Tulip Festival, March 30:<\/strong> Weeks after decorating Udhampur’s Highland Park with 9000 tulips, Kashmir is all set to host its famous Tulip Festival beginning from April 3 in order to celebrate the arrival of the spring season and also to promote tourism in the state.<\/p>\n While bestowing the festival’s information, Ideel Saleem serving as the Deputy Director, Tourism and Publicity mentioned that several national, as well as local artists, will be performing at the musical evenings during the festival. He also said that 25 stalls have been dedicated to display and promote Kashmir’s rich culture, traditions, crafts and cuisines.<\/p>\n This will be a 6-day festival that will witness cultural activities aiming to introduce the rich and traditional practices of the valley to the visitors. As stated by an official aware of the development, the festival will be inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.<\/p>\n
