Tree ambulance service in Amritsar, February 27: In a unique attempt, Amritsar has recently introduced a tree ambulance service and clinic in order to treat sick plants and trees in the city. This service will help save ailing plants and trees that have been rotting and require special care. The brainchild behind this one of its kind tree ambulance service is IRS officer Rohit Mehra, known as the Green Man of India.

As he is on a ‘green’ mission of sustainability, he also cleared his exam and further went to complete Civil Service back in the year 2004. A man who failed in his 12th examinations made his way to become an inspiration to the whole world. With years of hard work, he finally dedicated his life to the environment.

Mehra mentioned that for the initiative, he has collaborated with the experts, people who love trees and botanists who helped him introduce this ambulance as trees also have a life. This is the first initiative of such kind in the whole world.
