UK returnees in India, January:<\/strong> Updating the rule in the UT, Delhi has now decided to extend its order of keeping UK returnees under 14-day quarantine till January 31. In light of the new covid strain and its arrival in the country, the Delhi government has taken this decision.<\/p>\n Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stated that the government has taken such decision in order to protect countrymen of the infection of the new covid variant. Delhi CM further added that it would be mandatory for the passengers returning from the UK to undergo a self-paid RT-PCR test on their arrival at the airport.<\/p>\n Kejriwal also added that the travellers, if found positive, would be kept in isolation at an isolation facility, however, negative ones would be kept under quarantine facility for at least 7-days followed by a home quarantine for another 7 days. Officials undertaking the run informed that they are keeping a close watch to the situation and are in close contact with the states to ensure safety and containment of the citizens.<\/p>\n
