The world’s largest retailer Walmart has always been huge when it comes to product offerings. It offers a wide variety of range to its customers from fashion to household. The retailer’s big move to collaborate with thredUP marks its foray into the fashion resale segment.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
Walmart will be offering second-hand fashion to the customers through an online partnership with thredUP, the leading resale platform for fashion and accessories at mass-market prices. Customers can now browse through 750,000 women’s and children’s second-hand products.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
The items available at Walmart have been carefully evaluated and standardized by thredUP. Only pre-owned garments and shoes considered as \u2018new\u2019 or \u2018like new\u2019 are available on Walmart.com. \u2018 Accessories and handbags that are termed “Gently used” are also available.<\/p>\r\n
This deal also enables the customers to avail exclusive perks of Walmart’s free shipping threshold on orders worth US$ 35 or more with an added benefit of free returns at the Walmart and thredUP stores. The perks were not available to thredUP customers earlier.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
According to thredUP\u2019s upcoming 2020 Annual Resale Report, 70 percent of consumers have bought or are now willing to buy secondhand fashion. The move emerges from Walmart’s mission to establish walmart.com as the customer’s favorite fashion destination and enter into the popular resale segment.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
