1 February: Keeping them suspended for several months amid the coronavirus outbreak, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation will be resuming its e-catering services at 62 stations from 1st of February.
“The company will resume e-catering services at a selected number of stations (62 stations) in the first phase w.e.f. 1 February 2021 onwards,” the ticketing and catering arm of the Indian Railways said in a statement.
As reported by Mint, stations on the list where the services will resume are New Delhi, Howrah, Patna, Vijayawada, and Ernakulum. Unlike the previous situation, the passengers will now be able to order food on the train through the IRCTC e-catering app called Food On Track.

The passengers will require to add the travel details like PNR number, name of the train, seat or berth number while placing their respective orders. Ensuring the safety of the passengers, IRCTC has been providing only packaged and ready-to-eat food in order to contain the spread of coronavirus infection.
