May 18: In wake of the rapidly spreading infection in the country, the Uttarakhand government decided to suspend the annual Char Dham for the devotees. However, in order to keep the devotees happy amid the testing times, the Uttarakhand administration has made arrangements for the online darshan.

The authorities of the Char Dham Devasthanam Board have made special arrangements for the virtual visit. The four shrines namely, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri are together known as Char Dham. These shrines are visited by devotees from all over the nation every year when the doors of the shrines are opened.

However, this year the devotees have to be content with the virtual darshan only. The temples will not only stay shut for the outsiders coming from other states but for locals as well amid the pandemic scare.
