New Delhi, December 28: After the Chinese government terminated Indians from flying to China, the Indian government fired through the same gun by informally asking Indian and foreign airlines to stop flying Chinese nationals to the country. Over the weekend, the airlines have been asked specifically not to fly in Chinese nationals to the country.

As told by sources, a few airlines have requested the authorities to give the statement in writing to provide a valid reason for stopping the Chinese (who have booked the tickets to travel to India) to board the flight. The decision was made as around 1,500 Indian seafarers were stranded in several Chinese ports as the government refused to allow them onshore, change the crew and hauling there way back to India as well.

The flight exchange between both the countries remain suspended amid the covid scare, still, the Chinese nationals are eligible to travel to India as per the drawn norms of foreigners through indirect flights. The nationals travel to a country who is an air bubble partner of India, from that country they catch flights of India.
