June 11: Hindustan Unilever Limited has recently announced appointing Kedar Lele as the executive director of customer development. His appointment will come with effect from July 1, 2021. Currently, Lele is serving as the chairman and managing director of Unilever Bangladesh.

The recently appointed executive director will be taking the place of Srinandan Sundaram, who was elevated to the role of executive director for the foods and refreshment vertical.

Lele joined the Hindustan Unilever Limited family back in 2004 and over the last 17 years, he has been demonstrating a powerful performance track record across marketing, customer development, and general management.

Before his Bangladesh stint, Kedar Lele was responsible for leading the modern trade business for the brand and e-commerce as well.

Sharing his take over the appointment, Sanjiv Mehta, the chairman and managing director at HUL said, “I am delighted to welcome Kedar to the HUL management committee. Under his leadership, the Bangladesh business made great all-around progress – be it in customer development coverage expansion, the transformation of our supply chain or setting up sustainable models for market development.
