London’s Royal albert Hall witnessed a star studded night on Monday as the celebrities from various walks of life descended to the British Fashion Council’s Fashion Awards 2019 to celebrate outstanding contributions of individuals and businesses (both British and international) to the fashion industry.
Rihanna walked the red carpet with big win as the label won the Urban Luxe category award. Rihanna sported a minty green dress paired with sheer cape and gloves from her own label.
The ceremony turned out to be a big night for the South Sudanese-Australian model Adut Akech as she bagged the Model of the Year 2019 award. Akech arrived in a strapless emerald green Valentino gown from The Valentino Haute Couture Beijing collection featured a big bow at the waistline and a thigh-high slit.
Meanwhile, the Canadian Fashion Model Winnie Harlow stunned in a Vivienne Westwood custom red dress with curved neckline and frills at the back. She completed the look with minimal jewelry and subtle makeup.
Naomi Campbell wore an Alexander McQueen signature silver and black see through gown with cut out details as she grabbed the Fashion Icon 2019 award. Dedicating the award to her mother, Campbell said, “whatever success I have is a testament to you.”
American actor Julia Roberts surely turned quite a few heads in Armani Privé jumpsuit Autumn-Winter 19 couture. The Pretty Woman star teamed the look with blue dangle earrings.
Looking dapper was Rapper Kojey Radical sporting a Dunhill custom Pyjama Suit.
Next up, the American Singer Miguel stole the limelight in a grey suit paired with a silky coat.
