The famous courtier siblings Shantanu and Nikhil showcased their new collection Resurgence online. The fashion was held on 22nd September on the ongoing India Couture Week. The duo recently also completed their 20 years in the fashion industry.  The message that the brothers are trying to convey through the new collection is hope. Hope for the world, to leave their sorrows behind that are gripping us, and also symbolizes strength.

The show starts off with a little glitter and glam. Showcasing the silhouettes, drapes and versatile use of belts. the collection comprises of women’s off-shoulder gowns, Anarkali gowns, lehengas and fluidic western drapes and structured bandhgalas, women’s asymmetric design in colours such as gold, silver, blue, purple, red and maroon. The models in the elegant skirts epitomised strong Grecian goddesses. In styling the look, the gold and silver hand harness used signified the inner force and determination embodied by an S&N bride. The one thing which was common throughout the collection was a shimmer and the new drapes which were highlighted with the belt, the collection redefined the neo-luxe bride.

The collection released on Monday at the ICW Digital Edition was filmed at The Roseate in Delhi in five episodes. “It was an interesting and rare experience, and it felt wonderful to be part of an environment that strives to innovate and interact with a wider audience,” says the pair of designers.

Definitely watching a fashion show online and watching it on the ramp is two different experience. But the brothers showcased their collection in the best way possible. The background sound was so rich and engrossing that one is stuck to the screen for ten minutes. And the precision to details by the camera focusing on all the accessories on point. For sure everyone was in the front row for the Shantanu and Nikhil show this year.
