Indian actor Richa Chadha, popular for her roles in Fukrey and Sarbjit, has recently added another achievement in her kitty as she won PETA’s (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Best Vegan Style Icon title. Chadha was also recently felicitated with the Dr Ambedkar Bharat Ratna honour for her contribution to cinema.

With the on-going pandemic, the awareness about animal abuse has taken a sharp turn, however, Richa has also shown her significant approach towards the same as she is working to bring in the need of cruelty-free clothing.

PETA, India recently hosted a virtual award ceremony announcing the winners of Vegan Fashion Awards 2020. This initiative recognises the individuals and the brands practising animal-free fashion. After winning the title, Richa quoted that she was delighted to be named a style icon.

She further said, “Although it’s not always possible because we rely on stylists and makeup people to make us look great and can’t always choose cruelty-free things, in my personal life I always strive to stay the course. For instance, I stopped wearing silk and leather a few years ago. Am very pleased with this recognition. Thank you, Peta.”

Richa is undoubtedly becoming a style icon for her fans as she treated her fans recently with a few of her stylish looks and the fans are adoring her immensely. She has experimented a lot from the dresses to fusion saris.
