April 22: German footwear brand, Birkenstock has recent launched its first exclusive mono-brand store in Chandigarh. The store is set up at the famous Elante Mall of the Union Territory.
The latest store of the German brand measures 1,000 square feet as it has launched Birkenstock’s spring/summer 2021 collection. The information was bestowed via a press release of the brand.
The latest collection of the footwears offer products for children and adults as the range consists of earthy hued sandals and reinterpretations of its classic models Arizona, Gizeh, and Madrid. The other stores of Birkenstock are located in various Indian states such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

According to Hattab, the history of the German brand dates back to 1774. Therefore now, it also plans expansion of its brick-and-mortar presence in the country across its key states.
“After celebrating a robust first year in India, we continue growing with our strong rollout of stores across India,” said Birkenstock’s regal managing director for the Middle East, Africa, and India, Jens Hattab, in a press release.
“We are further building the brand presence in the North, by opening up in one of the region’s key fashion hubs. Birkenstock styles have been a cult favourite of celebrities, fashion designers, style icons and consumers across the globe for decades, and the launch of the Chandigarh store is another stepping stone to strengthen our presence across India.”
